“Meone Vecchio” - a 16th-century farmhouse – is set amid unspoiled woodland of Umbria - where peace and quiet create a cozy and magical atmosphere. It is located between Arezzo and Umbertide (Perugia). Tiziano and Patrizia, who run the place with energy and warmth, came here five years ago and started their labour of love, the restoration of Meone Vecchio, preserving its fine character—beamed ceilings, stone walls, cotto floors, original fireplace—while adding contemporary comforts.

The farmhouse is divided into four 1-2-3- bedroom suites, with stylish rural while snug interiors, none are the same and each has its own flair. The apartments have been furnished with fine antique furniture fitting the place perfectly. Tiziano skilfully did their restoration himself using eco-friendly products and paints.

The comfy beds have latex mattresses and pillows, and fine crisp cotton linen. In each suite there is a fully-equipped kitchen for self-catering and a wood burning stove that can be lit in the cold season. Also booking of B&B is possible.

On the first floor a guest room with satellite TV is available.

Take relaxing walks in the surrounding woods heavy with chestnuts, truffles, mushrooms and home to wildlife and different species of birds. Mountain bikers can ride along unforgettable tracks and horse-riding can be arranged locally.

From springtime to autumn enjoy the swimming pool in the garden overlooking the valley.

Patrizia planted a side of the hill with hundreds of olive and fruit trees and grows organic vegetables for the table. She cooks simple and tasty local dishes and occasionally dishes from other Italian regions. Don’t miss her mouthwatering home-made gnocchi.

Meals, to be booked on request, are supported by an excellent wine list personally selected by Tiziano. Breakfast, lunch or dine in the guest room and in good weather by the swimming pool or under the pergola.
